It’s been a whole week since I posted last, and I have no idea where the time went or if some diabolical fiend was running time through a sieve. If you find said fiend, I have a gunny sack with their name on it… even if I will have to write their name on it when I find out what their name is.
This week, I just wanted to get back into the swing of things. A good friend of mine has been reminding me about writing sprints, and we got together a few days this week to do them. Many thousands of words were written, even if it was a little slow going to start. I might have also got distracted trying to find out how many ships are in a fleet. The Google search was about as clear as mud.
I also got to help with an up-and-coming writing site. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not doing anything fancy, just being a sounding board and testing stuff. I’m not a tech person, so if someone is going to mess things up, it would be me. Hence, why they asked for my help, at least I know I’m good for something.
All that said, it feels amazing to get back into the swing of things! I have greatly missed writing. It’s my destress at the end of the day, and one stressful month with no destressing outlets is not something I want to do again. It was depressing, and I’m a very upbeat person.
Back to happier topics, I now have to decide what to do. Do I dive back into edits or finish out the second half of this first draft? I’m leaning toward doing the first draft. As I said, this is my destress, and I could use some of it. You know, I think I just talked myself into it.
