When I started my newsletter, I thought it would be easy to get people to read it once they signed up. Sure, I knew getting people to sign up would be slow, but no one warned me how hard it would be to get people to open the newsletter. I was very excited about having a whole twelve people sign up in two months!

Then came the feedback from the Mailerlite site: less than half of the people who signed up even opened the newsletter and very rarely does anyone click on a link. Not that the click through is necessary considering that I place my articles in my newsletter. It’s just surprising. For now, I’m not going to sweat it. I’ll keep plugging away and getting practice. One day when I have the time (cue the “Over the Rainbow” song), I’ll look into how to get more views, and click thoughts. For now, I have twelve people who signed up! (Girly squeal!)
